The tulip vase is a typical Dutch product that originated in the 17th century. People speculated in tulip bulbs and wanted to show off the most beautiful specimens. There are copies of Delft Blue porcelain in the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. Typical for this vase is that it is made up of different elements and that each tulip can be placed separately in a hole in the vase. WILLEM NOYONS, Utrecht (1956), versatile designer of, among other things, jewelry, furniture and glass, designed a stackable tulip vase made of glass in 1996. Our tulips are larger than in the 17th century and when placed in this vase, a surprisingly spacious image is created, which is characteristic of much of Noyons' work. Johnny Rolf was born in 1936 in The Hague (The Netherlands).

She met her partner Jan de Rooden in 1956. They settled in a studio in Amsterdam in 1958. She was awarded the "Contour Prize Porceleyne Fles" in 1964, won a "Minister's Prize" in Faenza Italy (1966) and received several Dutch scholarships.

Her work is represented in various collections at home and abroad.
