Pilastro bookshelf, book ends and letter holder, 1960s

 

A set of a bookshelf, bookends and a letterholder with perforated metal design, manufactured by Pilastro, Holland 1960s. The letter holder and the bookends with sitting and reading figures made of metal wire and round wooden heads. The letter holder wears the figure a hat (wood), trousers and a scarf in the original fabric. 

The set shows signs of use. 

The bookends measures 11.2 cm high, 15 cm wide and 9 cm deep. 

The letterholder measures 13 cm high, 11 cm wide and 9 cm deep. 

The bookshelf measures 15 cm high, 49 cm wide and 20 cm deep

The total weight is 1120 grams

Turi Gramstad Oliver (1938 Norway) was a craft and visual artist. Before she started her training, she already had a job at Stavangerflint AS where she worked closely with Inger Waage. Turi Gramstad Oliver started her career at Figgjo in 1960 and worked there for twenty years. She designed several tableware that became known as 'Turi design', such as 'Arden', 'Elvira', 'Market', 'Lotte', 'Tor Viking', 'Clúpea' and many other series that represent beautiful colorful figures in a naive style. painting style.

A metal bookcase that can be arranged to taste with the division or width. The bookcase is assembled with uprights and shelves and attached with nuts and bolts. (some new) The uprights and shelves in three different colors of lacquered metal. Black, red and white. Flat metal shelves in red and white can be placed at the desired location. The uprights and shelves measure approximately 70 cm long. There are some short uprights to place a divider between them.

 

Now set up, the cabinet is 216.5 cm high, 145 cm wide and 22.5 cm deep.

The weight is approximately 25 kilos.

Set of 7 dining chairs designed by Kurt Østervig for Sibast, 1960s

 

Danish design chairs by Kurt Østervig in rosewood with stitched black leather seating and backrest.

Kurt Østervig (1912–1986) was a Danish furniture designer.

Trained as a shipbuilder in Odense on the Danish island of Funen, Østervig's attachment to wood rather than steel led to his being employed as a furniture designer in E. Knudsen's Studio, among the largest of the times. In 1947, Østervig established his own studio, from where he worked with several of Scandinavia's largest furniture manufacturers The seat part is made of black leather and fabric at the bottom of the seat with a wooden board in between. The fabric of 3 chairs is loose on the side. The backs of the chairs are made of black leather stitched together.

 

The height of a chair is 80.5 cm and 51 cm wide.

The depth is 42 cm.

The seat height is 47.5 cm.

A single chair weighs about 6.5 kilos
